What We Believe

We accept the Bible as the sole and absolute authority in all matters of faith and practice, but the detailed “Articles of Faith,” state the views held by the members of our church in respect to the basic points of our faith.

We believe in the being and unity of God in the existence of three equal persons in the Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Old and New Testaments.

We believe in the total depravity of humanity.

We believe in election according to the foreknowledge of God.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ and the all-sufficiency of his atonement.

We believe in the justification of faith alone in the righteousness of Christ.

We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration and sanctification.

We believe in the perseverance of the Saints.

We believe in the second and glorious coming of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the judgment, punishment of the wicked, and the blessedness of the righteous – both everlasting.

We believe in the immersion of believers in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe the Lord’s Table is a privilege for believers alone.

We believe a local church is a company of baptized believers voluntarily associated, and assembling in one place on the first day of the week for observance of the Christian ordinances, the ministry of the Word, and for mutual edification.

We believe in the maintenance and transmission of these doctrines and especially the spreading of the Gospel of Christ in all lands: that the Word of God is the complete and infallible rule of faith and practice, the religious observance of the first day of the week, and the obligation of every intelligent creature to believe the record which God has given of his Son.
